Sorrento
What can I say about Sorrento? Nothing of a personal nature, that’s for sure. I wrote this Sorrento category page before starting out on the trip that took me there for the first time.
But I can tell you some impersonal stuff about it. It’s all information you might already know or could have easily looked up if you weren’t so damned lazy and just looked at a map or did a simple web search.
But, no. You want to be spoon-fed everything. Kids these days. I tell ya.
But, for the benefit of the people who both lack the knowledge and are too lazy to seek out the information itself, I’ll tell you this:
- Sorrento is in Italy.
- It’s on the coast of one side of a peninsula that’s basically an outgrowth on the ankle of the boot of Italy. I hope an oncologist has looked at that growth. I’ve never heard of ankle cancer, but there are a lot of things I haven’t heard of. If I weren’t so lazy, I’d look it up.
- Sorrento is across a bay from Naples.
- The Amalfi coast is on the other side of Sorrento’s peninsula.
This category is a subcategory of Italy and a sub-subcategory of Europe. If you head to those higher-level categories, particularly the Europe one, and read all of the posts, you can spend a lot of time on this journal. If you do it in one sitting, you might not have time to do much else for quite a while. So, if you’re employed, you might want to split your reading into multiple sessions. I don’t want you to lose your job.
