Venice

I seem to recall someone saying or writing, “If you’re tired of _________, you’re tired of life.” I can’t remember what fills that blank. But it should  “Venice.” It’s a beautiful, human-scaled city with endless possibilities to explore and enjoy, despite its relatively small size.

I don’t know how anyone could possibly tire of the canals (grand and small), the narrow pedestrian streets, the beautiful old architecture, the restaurants, and the shops.

Then again, I don’t know a lot of things. For, example, I don’t know if anyone really said, “If you’re tired of _________, you’re tired of life,” with anything whatsoever filling in the blank. It’s possible that sentence formed only in my head. If so, I expect that, from now on, anyone who writes or says that will cite me and link to this page.

I’m babbling now. Smart people will leave this page and go read the Venice journal entry posts linked to here.

Oh, by the way, this “Venice” category is a subcategory of “Italy” and a sub-subcategory of “Europe.”
