If I visit a Viking museum or if I visit someplace that has some connection to Vikings and I talk about that connection, I try to remember to tag that page with this take

Because, who doesn’t like Vikings? Except of course the people they attacked and conquered. But you don’t hear them complaining much anymore, do you?

Seriously, they managed to travel and conquer places somewhat far afield from their Scandinavian homes. I’ve visited a few of those places. And I wrote it, as evidenced by the travel journal posts linked below.
