Taipei

As I write this city index page, before having visited Taipei, there are two things I know about the city.

For one, Taipei is the capital of Taiwan.

For another, there are non-stop flights from Taipei to Toronto, my hometown. That played no small part in my decision to visit. My first trip to Taipei came after some travel to other places in Asia. Getting a non-stop flight back to Toronto meant I could go through Canadian customs and immigration in Toronto rather than having to do so during a connection in some other airport, thus requiring a longer connection time.

Of course, that’s not the only reason I visited Taipei. Seeing that a nonstop flight was an option, I looked at some tour books. Taipei and elsewhere in Taiwan looked interesting and worth a visit, so here I am (or, as I write this, will be).

This Taipei city index page is a subcategory of the Taiwan country index page, which is a subcategory of the Asia continent index page.
