Munich Travel Journal

Munich is one of the cities I visited in Germany. To be honest, it wasn’t a top-choice destination for my tourist planning. But there are non-stop flights between it and my hometown, Toronto. And it was a convenient train trip away from a city that I wanted to (and did) visit, Prague. So rather than just going to Munich to get to the airport, I spent a few days.

I won’t lie and say it is my favourite city. But it was worth the visit since I was in the neighbourhood anyway.

During my stay, I took a half-day tour to Dachau. That was an emotionally draining, but important visit. Dachau isn’t actually in Munich, but it’s an easy public transit ride away. Despite not being in the city, I didn’t create a separate category for Dachau. Instead, you’ll find it in the Munich entry in this link.

This category is a subcategory of my “Germany” category, which, in turn, is a subcategory of “Europe.”
