Agrigento

Agrigento is a beautiful city (or is it a town?) on the south side of Sicily. It’s inland but not too far from the coast.

It is a relaxing city for tourists, such as me. The city has a lot of ruins, some of them well-preserved, to visit in its Valley of the Temples. It also has a good archaeological museum that contains artifacts from the Valley of the Temples.

Agrigento is an easy train ride from Palermo, where there’s an international airport. Convenient, eh?

This is a subcategory of the “Italy” category, which is a sub-subcategory of “Europe.” I thought of having an “Earth” category. But that seemed silly because I don’t expect to ever be able to visit anything off Earth. I’d like to, though.
