When planning the trip that took me to Bristol, I couldn’t decide whether to stay in Bristol or Bath. I wanted to see Bath, but it’s a very short train ride from Bristol.

I could get to Bristol on a direct train, i.e., without connections, from my previous destination. But to get to Bath, I’d have to change trains in Bristol. And to go on to my next station, I’d also have to change trains in Bristol if I stayed in Bath. So, Bristol, it was.
