Galway Travel Journal

To be honest, I went to Galway, Ireland primarily because the tour book I used highly recommended seeing the Aran Islands, particularly Inishmore Island, and the Cliffs of Moher. The ferry to Inishmore Island leaves from Galway and it affords great views of the Cliffs of Moher on the way back.

I did that, but I also spent a couple of days in Galway. It is an attractive coastal city on its own and worth a visit even if you don’t go to Inishmore Island, but definitely do go to Inishmore Island. Just make sure you have time to explore the city too.
