North America Travel Journal

North America is that big blob sitting on top of Central and South America. Of course, that’s only true because of the way we orient our maps. To someone visiting from another planet, it would make just as much sense to turn the map upside down, putting North America below Central and South America.

Or, if those aliens didn’t know about our magnetic poles and, therefore didn’t use them to orient maps, they’d be just as happy turning our maps on their sides so the Americas would align left to right, rather than top to bottom.

Wait. Where the heck am I going with this? Oh, yeah. That was a bit of an inane ramble, wasn’t it?

This is just a category to hold all of the entries in my travel journal about visits to somewhere in North America. Underneath the categories are subcategories for countries, sub-subcategories for provinces or states, and sub-sub-subcategories for cities.

Sub-categories and sub-subcategories appear only once I’ve visited somewhere there.
