Trips Table of Contents
I have not come close to breaking any world (pun intended) records for the number of places visited, but here’s a list of all the tourism trips I’ve taken since starting this travel journal in May 2019. I say “tourism trips” because I generally don’t write about trips I take to visit family and friends (mostly in North America).
And I’m still going. (Unless I’m not and haven’t updated this page yet either because I forgot to or because I’m no longer able to.)

I’d been to Sweden once before starting this travel journal, but that trip took me to only Stockholm. The links below provide journal entries for a circle trip I took around southern Sweden to Uppsala, Gävle, Örebro, Gothenburg, Malmö, Linköping, and Stockholm.

2025 Oct-Nov trip to Japan

In this trip to Japan, my second, but the first in this travel journal, I visited Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka, Himeji, Hiroshima, and Nagoya. I started and ended in Tokyo
This trip took me to three cities/town in England, UK: Windermere, Manchester, London. (It followed a visit to Edinburgh, Scotland, that I didn’t post about in this journal.)
April-May 2026 trip to Seoul, Jeonju, Gyeongju, Busan, Andong;, and Gangneung in South Korea.

This is my first trip I to South Korea. I’m writing this index page blurb before going on the trip, so I don’t know how it goes, but I’m making stops in a circle around the country.
February 2016 trip to Marseilles, Arles, Nice in France and Taormina in Sicily, Italy.

I wrote this trip index description in advance so I’d have it available to hang posts off of on this trip, hence the future tense below.
I will spend most of the trip in southern France. I’ll be staying in Marseille, Arles, and Nice, in that order. I may go on some day-trips to nearby cities and towns, but returning at night. I will journalize my time in southern France.
I’ll also be visiting some relatives who are spending a couple of winter months in Taormina, Italy. Because that is primarily to spend time with them, not to do touring, I don’t know if I’ll post anything about my time in Taormina as I write these words, still at home in Toronto.
From mid-June to early-July of 2026, I visited Hungary for the first time. All of my journal entries from that trip are linked below, including my visits to Budapest, Sopron;, Györ, Keszthely, and Pécs.
