Victoria Travel Journal

Victoria is not the largest city in British Columbia. That’s Vancouver. But it’s probably the most charming of the big and biggish cities in the province. Then again, the only big and biggish cities I’ve visited in British Columbia even just somewhat recently are Victoria and Vancouver. So, I might be wrong about that.

Victoria is the capital of British Columbia. It has a nice oceanfront, some beautiful parks, a nearby world-renowned botanical garden (Butchart Gardens) and a couple of grand oldish buildings beside its waterfront—the legislature buildings and the stately Empress Hotel.

This is a subcategory of “British Columbia,” a sub-subcategory of “Canada,” and a sub-sub-subcategory of “North America.”
